From Realtor to Resilience Coach: Cindy Clemishire’s Mission to Heal Through Truth

Published:

The Origin of a Calling
Cindy Clemishire didn’t set out to become an entrepreneur. She set out to help. As a child, her dream was to become a nurse — a testament to her innate drive to serve others. But life, as it often does, had other plans. In her early twenties, while purchasing her first home, she found herself captivated by the role of the realtor.

“I became intrigued with the career,” she recalls. “Once I knew it was for me, I took the class and test — and within a month, I was licensed. That was in 1993.”

Years later, Cindy’s journey would take another bold turn. Motivated by the impact her own story of abuse, rejection, and grief had on others, she stepped into the world of speaking and coaching.

“Knowing that going public gave hope to so many, I decided it was time to say yes to the journey set before me.”

Brand Identity: A Work in Progress
Cindy humbly admits she’s still discovering her personal brand. It’s a process she embraces, and one that reflects a deeper truth: personal brands don’t start with logos or taglines — they begin with authenticity.

Her vulnerability and courage to speak publicly about trauma is, in itself, the foundation of a brand rooted in hope, healing, and human connection.

A Defining Moment
One date stands out: June 14th. That’s when her story was published and went viral, opening up a global conversation about abuse and shame.

“I realized how many people around the world share these experiences,” she says. “The themes of shame and defeat are universal.”

That moment not only gave her story a global stage — it gave others permission to begin their own healing journeys.

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs
“Keep going,” Cindy encourages. “Reach out for advice and encouragement. Other people are typically happy to support with their own experiences and knowledge.”

Her guidance is simple, yet powerful. Persistence and connection, she believes, are the two greatest currencies in entrepreneurship.

Staying Grounded
Work-life balance isn’t a perfected art in Cindy’s life — but it’s a non-negotiable pursuit. Her mornings start early with quiet coffee time. Evenings are reserved for cooking and eating with her teenage son. Fitness, healthy eating (mostly 😉), and a close-knit group of friends help her navigate stressful seasons.

“These rhythms help me avoid burnout. They keep me human.”

What’s Next?
Though Cindy is still shaping her business and brand, her vision is clear: serve, support, and speak truth. Her testimony at the Texas House Committee this past May — advocating for Trey’s Law — is just one example of how she’s turning pain into purpose.
