Love More Impacting and Changing Mindsets One Person At A Time

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jovan “Von” Davis.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I grew up in the Washington Highlands which is a community in Southeast DC with gun violence all around me. This neighborhood is ranked in the country known for violence. I’ve lost close friends before graduating middle school and 80% before my high school graduation. So I felt I couldn’t go anywhere without a firearm on me or thinking someone was trying to cause harm to me. Which led to multiple arrest and being heavy involved in the streets. Being arrested it was hard trying to get a job, but I had to survive and the streets was always hiring. I then decided to create my own standards and own opportunities for my self. I decided to be heavily involved in my community that I feared, working with the individuals in the District who are at highest risk of involvement in gun violence to help to incentivize and facilitate positive lifestyle changes. I also worked the with Department Of Youth Rehabilitation to mentor youths and brainstorm solutions to problems that plague the streets with these same youths that in the past have been involved. Out of my humanitarian work spawned another idea. I saw hate overpowering love and ask myself how did we get this disconnected in our community that hate is cooler than love ? How can we make love cool again? So now we are here.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Making a positive change. Changing the way I think and receive information along with those in my community. Showing others the way to go without them never seeing it for themselves. That’s the most challenging because we can’t be what we never seen. Getting others to explore the unknown.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m a developer, I build people, I know the problems my community have and I know the solutions. I’m the CEO of the LOVE MORE BRAND. I’m a marketing/branding coach. I work with entrepreneurs with little or no experience and help them make six figures company’s with little to no money. I know what it takes to take a hustler to an entrepreneur, an entrepreneur to a CEO. I do this by meeting the needs of the individuals I work with and being accessible and bringing clarity of what it take to move them through the process and to the next level. My style of coaching is more hands on the competition is not doing that. They have pre recorded videos or long emails about what to do that won’t connect with the average client investing in you looking for immediate result. Most people are more hands on type individuals. I have weekly calls with clients I coach, I have a community group where my clients can bounce ideas off and build with like minded individuals, I have a team in all areas (branding specialist, marketing specialist, content creator etc) that can meet with my clients on a weekly basis.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Invest in a mentor! Sound yourself with like minded individuals to help you get to the next level. Understand your mentor should be someone who have the experience and been where you’re trying to go. Your mentor will be the gps to direct you to your destination without getting lost.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Giving back to others. Helping others win and seeing the end result. That’s what motivate me.

What’s next for you?

I’m working on investing into the trucking industry and launching my coaching business so not only will the people in my community benefit but individuals with the same struggles and limited beliefs as me across the nation benefit.
