Charisse Sisou Expands the Shameless Series With a New Book on Reclaiming Power

For Charisse Sisou, the next chapter of Shameless did not begin with a publishing strategy. It emerged from what readers told her after the first book was already in their hands.

Her bestseller, Shameless: Unleash Your Message, Impact & Power, was written primarily for female entrepreneurs navigating the internal barriers that can quietly limit growth. Sisou expected stories about business breakthroughs. She received them. Women shared accounts of landing their biggest clients and growing companies from the low six figures into the high six and seven figures.

But another kind of story kept appearing.

Readers told her the book had helped them leave abusive relationships, walk away from toxic workplaces, establish boundaries and rebuild lives that felt like their own again. Those responses changed the direction of Sisou’s work and eventually became the foundation for her second book.

Shameless: Reclaim Your Power & Joy—Never Lose Yourself Again is scheduled for release in November 2026.

When Business Lessons Became Personal

Sisou is the founder and CEO of Lead with Passion LLC, a coaching and communications company focused on helping individuals and entrepreneurs reclaim their confidence, clarify their purpose and expand their impact.

Her first Shameless book approached that mission largely through the experience of entrepreneurship. Yet the feedback exposed something broader. The patterns holding women back professionally were often connected to experiences far beyond business.

Some had spent years shrinking themselves to keep a partner comfortable. Others had lost confidence inside controlling family dynamics, friendships or workplaces. For those who had experienced relationships with narcissistic or domineering personalities, rebuilding could mean learning to trust their own judgment again.

Sisou saw an opportunity to expand the framework.

The second book brings the ideas behind Shameless to a wider audience, particularly people who have felt shamed for their bodies, silenced in relationships or conditioned to make themselves smaller for the comfort of others.

Reclaiming What Was Given Away

The premise behind Sisou’s work is deeply personal. Reclaiming power, as she describes it, is less about becoming someone new than recovering parts of oneself that were surrendered along the way.

“Today, I am unshakable. I’ve made peace with my past and reclaimed the power I once gave away,” Sisou says. “I see more clearly, choose differently and hold boundaries without apology. I am free to create the life of my dreams. If I can do this, anyone can.”

That perspective gives the new book a wider lens. Intimate relationships, career decisions, motherhood, friendships and leadership may appear to occupy separate corners of life, but self-trust and confidence inform them all.

Sisou has seen that connection through her coaching clients. Alongside business growth, she points to clients who have left behind abusive relationships and unhealthy work environments, then reclaimed lives around greater freedom, happiness and prosperity.

Those outcomes helped shape her belief that personal change rarely stays personal.

Success, Reclaimed

Sisou’s message arrives at a time when conversations about boundaries, unhealthy relationship dynamics and emotional wellbeing have become increasingly visible. Her contribution is to connect those conversations with the body.

“There is untold healing, intelligence and guidance in the body,” Sisou says. “Just as it ‘keeps the score,’ so can it be fertile ground for our growth and wild success—if we know how to partner with it.”

When someone feels more secure and happy from the inside out, Sisou argues, the effect can reach into the way they parent, work, lead and navigate relationships. Success, in that sense, is not measured only by revenue or professional status. It can also look like choosing situations that uplift rather than drag us down, saying no without guilt or recognizing when accommodation has turned into self-abandonment.

That is the territory the second Shameless book explores.

For Sisou, it is also a natural evolution of a body of work that began by helping women become more visible in business. The audience has widened because the stories demanded it.

That is the invitation to readers at the heart of her upcoming book. Not to become someone new, but to come home to the self you already are—and to trust that self enough to never disappear again.
