In a time marked by rising anxiety, disconnection, and emotional fatigue, not only among youth, but across families, workplaces, and communities, Dr. Loren Dittmar is widening the lens on what mental health support can look like. Through his new platform, Dr. Loren Speaks, Dittmar is bringing a message that resonates across generations: sustainable well-being begins with everyday connection, courageous conversations, and the belief that every person’s story matters.
With a new live event experience planned in early 2026, a forthcoming book, and ongoing learning opportunities in development, Dr. Loren’s mission is both practical and deeply human: equip parents, educators, and community leaders with tools that help people feel seen, supported, and empowered to take their next healthy step – especially when life feels heavy.
A Vision Rooted in Experience—and a Call to Expand the Circle
Dittmar’s work has long centered on youth mental health and suicide prevention, but he is clear about one truth: teens do not struggle in isolation.
“Kids are absorbing the stress, pace, and emotional climate around them,” Dittmar explains. “If we want healthier youth, we have to strengthen the adults, systems, and relationships that shape their everyday lives. Mental health isn’t just something we address in crisis. It’s something we build in how we listen, how we respond, and how we show up.”
Following his experience with the Speakpreneur community, Dittmar felt a renewed clarity and confidence to expand his work beyond schools, bringing his long-standing approach to storytelling and practical learning to broader audiences who are navigating stress, leadership challenges, and emotional overwhelm.
Why This Matters Now
In the years following the pandemic, stress and emotional overwhelm have become increasingly common for teens and adults alike. Anxiety, depression, isolation, and burnout are showing up in homes, schools, organizations, and communities, often without clear pathways for support.
What makes Dr. Loren distinctive is his emphasis on actionable tools rather than awareness alone. Dittmar’s message is not simply “recognize the signs,” but “build the skills.”
“Teen mental wellness isn’t just about preventing tragedy,” he says. “It’s about learning how to stay grounded when emotions rise, how to communicate without escalating conflict, and how to strengthen resilience before people hit a breaking point.”
A Proven Voice in Mental Health, Education, and Human Connection
With decades of experience as a counselor and educator, Dr. Loren Dittmar has built a national reputation for strengthening school mental health systems and developing leadership within the profession. He has served in multiple leadership roles with state school counseling associations in Georgia, California, and South Carolina. His service includes work with the Georgia School Counselor Association, leadership as High School Vice President and Director of the Emerging Leaders Program for the California Association of School Counselors, and launching and leading the Emerging Leaders Program for the Palmetto State School Counseling Association, where he also Co-Chaired the state conference for three years and now serves on the Board of Directors.
During the pandemic, Dr. Dittmar served as the lead mental health expert for COVID19K12counseling.org, a globally recognized resource that supported schools through an unprecedented period of disruption. He is also a contributing author for the professional text Hatching Tier Two and Three Interventions in Your Secondary School Counseling Program. His contributions have been recognized through honors such as Glynn County School Counselor of the Year and a nomination for Adjunct Professor of the Year, underscoring his impact in both practice and higher education.
A New Book: A Practical Guide for Protecting Peace in a High-Pressure World
Alongside his speaking and training work, Dittmar is preparing to release a new book, 11 ½ Tips to Protect Your Peace: A Compassionate Mental Health Guide for Adults Supporting Today’s Youth.
Drawing from lived experience, evidence-informed practice, and Dittmar’s signature blend of practicality and heartfelt connection, the book offers real-world tools for navigating stress, setting boundaries, and staying grounded while supporting others.
“This book is for the people who are always showing up for everyone else,” Dittmar shares. “It’s a reminder that you can be compassionate without losing yourself, and that your peace is something you can protect on purpose.”
A Live Experience Designed to Equip, Not Overwhelm
Dr. Loren Speaks will debut a live event experience in 2026, bringing together parents, educators, youth advocates, and community leaders for an immersive day of learning and renewal. Designed with intention and care, the experience will help participants strengthen connection, navigate high-pressure moments with greater calm and clarity, and build the kind of resilience that sustains both purpose and well-being over time.
Additional offerings, including masterclasses and ongoing learning communities, are in development to provide continued support, reflection, and growth beyond a single event.
