Shining the Light: One Woman’s Journey from Darkness to Spiritual Awakenin
Molly Faith Shanks, also known as “Santera, Spiritist High Priestess, child of God, and Warrior of light and love,” has an astounding story of resilience, healing, and spiritual transformation.
Enduring nearly two decades of physical, emotional, sexual, and spiritual abuse at the hands of a dangerous partner, Molly found herself broken in body, mind, and spirit.
Against unbelievable odds including betrayal, fraud, threats on her life, and orchestrated spiritual attacks, Molly turned inward and to the divine for salvation.
Through sacred initiation ceremonies, guidance of benevolent energies called Orishas, and an unwavering faith in God, Molly healed her body, awakened her gifts, and reclaimed her inner light.
Now on a mission to help others discover their own healing and spiritual gifts, Molly shares: “With prayer, cleansing, proper spiritual hygiene, the light, faith, hope, love and our creator God anything in life is possible.
Even near death, devastation, corruption, loss, tragedy, betrayal, loneliness, poverty, illness and the most broken moments can change into the biggest blessing and a walking testimony.”
A Child Destined to Be a Healer
Born with the ordained name Malcah, meaning Queen, Molly showed early signs of her divine gifts and healer lineage. But it would take intense fires of adversity to awaken those talents.
Enduring Unspeakable Abuse and Attacks
Marrying an abusive and addictive partner in 2013, Molly found herself trapped in a cycle of physical, emotional, financial and sexual abuse for nearly 18 years. As she shares, “I experienced emotional, physical, economic, sexual, and mental abuse for almost 18 years.
Lies, gossip, slander, hate crimes due to my spiritual beliefs, attempted murder on my life and my sons, Fraud, Theft, corruption, left for dead, and poverty.”
The suffering only intensified after a group of dark priests, priestesses, and secret societies orchestrated spiritual attacks on Molly for embracing her faith and spiritual calling. As she explains, “Pretty much every rule man put in place had to be broken.
My entire god family betrayed me and worked with my ex-husband to do rituals and dark witchcraft to block my love life, and my finances, and harm me in every way possible. Paleros, Paleras, Santeros, and Santeras in large groups all gathered to attack me.”
Finding Salvation Through the Divine
Despite unimaginable adversity on every front, Molly never lost her faith in God and the spiritual realms. She credits her very survival to divine intervention, sharing: “I wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for God. This is just a touch of what I have gone through that has gotten me to this point in my life and how I remembered who I am.”
Turning inward and to the heavens for answers, Molly found healing and protection through a sacred ceremony. As she explains: “Within three days I started to heal. Between white spiritual baths, a head cleanses, and a ceremony to remove six dark energies off of me and prayer, I started to heal so rapidly.”
An Ordained Queen and Warrior of Light
Enduring unthinkable hardship only helped reveal Molly’s divine purpose and strengthen her faith. During her sacred initiation ceremony, the Orishas delivered a powerful message about Molly’s reason for being on this earthly plane. As Molly shares:
“It exposed my divine lineage and what my destiny was here in this life. A queen was born and the world was waiting. There are so many beautiful messages. My name I was ordained with as a child was Malcah which means queen.”
Rather than retreat in defeat, Molly embraced her ordained role as a Queen and warrior of light. She explains: “I am a child of God, I am here to assist and fight in God’s battle against darkness. To help deliver individuals into the light with the assistance from things greater than myself.”
True to her calling, Molly has already helped transform lives through her healing gifts. As she shares:
“I have healed individuals through elements, with my hands and prayer because God is using me as one of his vessels and It’s an honor to serve him. I help behind the scenes and pray for healing and blessing for all mankind almost daily.”
Alchemizing Darkness into Light
Now on a mission to teach others how to “transmute and alchemise hate to love, illness to health, despair to hope,” Molly is excited to come out of isolation to share her gifts. As she explains:
“I can teach others how to alchemise negative energy into positive and heal through it. I would love to have different locations of retreat sanctuaries. For individuals to experience peace, healing, positive spiritual treatments, learn different cleanses, baths, educate them on different healing methods and hold prayer.“
Through her jewelry line, memoir project, retreats, and teachings, Molly is ready to spread her message of resilience, faith, and healing to empower others. She concludes:
