Pastor Traci L. Walker once built her career around the precision of nuclear engineering. Today, she applies that same attention to systems and structure to a different mission: helping women of faith turn their ideas into businesses, institutions and lasting legacies.
As founder and chancellor of Game ChangeHer University and visionary of the Her Riches Conference, Walker brings together pastoral leadership, entrepreneurial education and practical business strategy. Her work centers on a question she repeatedly encountered among women with talent and ambition: How do you move from recognizing your potential to building something that can sustain it?
The answer, she believes, requires more than encouragement.
Walker says many of the women she encountered were educated, prayerful and full of ideas but lacked the structure, supportive relationships and business systems necessary to bring those ideas to life. Their challenge was not simply discovering a purpose. It was developing a workable plan.
“I created Game ChangeHer University to become the institution I wished more women had: a place where spiritual formation and practical strategy are not separated,” Walker explained in written responses.
Launched on March 8, 2026, International Women’s Day, Game ChangeHer University combines biblical identity, leadership development, coaching and entrepreneurship education. According to Walker, the organization generated more than $60,000 in revenue and served approximately 45 coaching clients during its first several months. Those figures reflect the organization’s reported activity, rather than a promise of participants’ financial outcomes.
Her approach draws on an unusually varied professional background. Walker identifies herself as a former nuclear engineer with the U.S. Department of Defense and a former NASA intern. She also serves as co-pastor of New Beginning Christian Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, and has worked in radio and authored books, including The Game ChangeHer Playbook.
Leaving engineering required her to exchange professional security for a path without a predictable income or established blueprint. She describes the transition as a period of rebuilding her identity while learning entrepreneurship, branding, coaching and organizational development.
That experience informs her emphasis on disciplined execution, education and mentorship. A compelling vision, in her view, needs systems capable of supporting it.
Her Riches extends that philosophy into a conference setting. According to materials supplied by Walker, the gathering is scheduled for October 29–31, 2026, at the Renaissance Portsmouth-Norfolk Waterfront Hotel in Portsmouth, Virginia. Its theme is “The Richest Room for Women Called to Have It All.”
The planned program includes industry networking, Treasuries breakout sessions, a Pajama Pitch, a marketplace and the Game ChangeHer Honors Brunch. Walker envisions the gathering as a place where women across business, ministry, finance and other professions can exchange knowledge and develop relationships that support their next steps.
The conference’s spiritual foundation comes from the daughters of Zelophehad in Numbers 27, whose appeal for an inheritance changed what was possible for women who followed them. Walker sees their story as a framework for courage, advocacy and responsibility.
Her interpretation connects inheritance with more than personal income. It encompasses intellectual property, businesses, ministries, nonprofit organizations and systems that can benefit future generations.
Walker’s longer-term ambitions include international educational programs, executive coaching, certification pathways and strategic partnerships. These remain goals for the organization’s future, with an emphasis on helping women build beyond a personal brand.
For Walker, faith and financial ambition can coexist when grounded in integrity, preparation and responsible stewardship. The objective is sustainable progress, supported by education and community.
