Ashley Miers has lived many lives: actress, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, coach, and most recently, co-creator of a cooking-meets-music show. But what ties all of her ventures together is a powerful mission—turning personal pain into platforms for healing, creativity, and empowerment.
A Journey Shaped by Resilience
Miers’ entrepreneurial path began in Los Angeles in 2008, where she launched Violet Vista Ventures shortly after college. Between acting gigs, she experimented with production projects, freelance writing, and music. Her debut EP, Unlocked, and her 2010 album Aftershock marked her as both an artist and an advocate. For Aftershock, she partnered with Mental Health America during the release tour—donating a portion of profits and using the project to raise awareness for mental health.
But behind the spotlight was a private battle. Miers struggled with depression, anxiety, and self-destructive behaviors, including substance abuse and disordered eating. “The biggest challenge I faced was truly myself,” she reflects. “I had a lot of unresolved trauma and counterproductive coping mechanisms.”
It was in facing these struggles head-on—through therapy, yoga certification, and a deep commitment to sobriety—that Miers found the strength to rebuild. That transformation became the foundation for her coaching business, Ashley Miers Health, where her signature program Transcend the Turbulence helps women turn self-doubt into self-mastery.
Building With Intention
Miers’ growth wasn’t just emotional—it was strategic. A pivotal moment came when she enrolled in Yuri Elkaim’s Healthpreneur program. “I learned the power of being around positive, successful people,” she says. The program provided tools for marketing, operations, and scaling her business. More importantly, it shifted her mindset: every obstacle became a lesson in resilience, every setback a chance to adapt.
“Business is almost a living entity,” Miers notes. “It evolves constantly and requires adaptation.” Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is clear: treat it as a long game. “There will always be excuses, and it’s up to you to choose to forge ahead or to fold your hand.”
Dancing in the Kitchen: Music, Food, and Mental Health
While her coaching practice took off, Miers returned to her creative roots in 2023 with Dancing in the Kitchen, a YouTube-based cooking show that fuses food, music, and mood science. With over 20,000 subscribers and a spot on Roku’s Flamingo Network, the project blends entertainment with advocacy—showing audiences that what they eat, how they move, and the media they consume can transform mental health.
Miers and her team are currently shopping the show to Netflix and other streaming giants. “I see us having merchandise in major retailers, streaming on Netflix or similar, and using our platform as a force for perpetuating positivity in a media climate that is often dark, threatening, and dismal,” she explains.
The Next Chapter
Looking ahead, Miers has her sights set on joining the ranks of powerhouse speakers like Gabby Bernstein and Jade Simmons. Her upcoming mastermind, UPLIFT (Unique Loving Intentional Females Thriving), aims to incubate women’s dreams—supporting authors, artists, and entrepreneurs with both mindset coaching and the media assets to launch big.
At the heart of every venture is a consistent through-line: turning lived experience into light for others. “If I—through my creativity, gifts, talents, and ability to relate—can inspire and empower women to claim their worth and step into true freedom and fulfillment, I can’t think of a more meaningful cause.”
For Miers, the journey isn’t about fitting into a mold. It’s about breaking it—and building a platform strong enough for others to stand on.
