Abel Ruiz de Castilla dreams big. Dance big. He is a Peruvian dancer and choreographer who has a long and distinguished professional career. His successful career has earned him important recognitions, one of which is having won first place with the group “C-Nation Crew” in the national Hip Hop tournament held in Peru. That award gave him the opportunity to represent his country in the world competition, considered one of the most important in Hip Hop called “HipHop International”; this event was held in Phoenix, Arizona, and they obtained fifth place worldwide in 2022. He has also received the Tacarigua de Oro Internacional award and Tocando la Fama as “Dancer with international projection”. Her life is dancing and her success is on stage.
The artist and talented dancer was sincere from the heart and said this:
-What inspired you to have dance as a profession?
-I wasn’t much of a dancer when I was little, but I remember that on my 10th birthday I saw a video of Michael Jackson’s concert, the next day I started to imitate his steps and at that moment everything changed for me and I have never stopped dancing since then , naturally it became something that I knew I was going to do all my life even as a profession.
-How do you define yourself professionally?
-I define myself as a demanding person both in punctuality and in the work itself, I am a perfectionist but at the same time I like to be able to enjoy the process of whatever I am doing, it is a balance that I learned to carry with time, I always trusted my intuition when it comes to creating a number and I often try to find something new and fresh, something that makes a difference, something that the audience can really feel when they are watching it.
-What type of dance are you most passionate about?
-I don’t have a special one, but locking and salsa is something I don’t do that often, but I really enjoy them every time I dance these styles, I feel like I’m in a constant party.
-Which artist would you like to dance on stage with?
-Some of the artists that I would like to dance on stage are Beyoncé, Rauw Alejandro, Justin Bieber and Chris Brown.
-Your closest dream
-One of my next dreams is to dance with Daddy Yankee at his farewell concert this 2023.
-Short term plans
-I have a personal plan to be an expert dancing salsa as a couple, it is something that always catches my attention and I want to work on it, apart from that I want to continue positioning myself internationally, gaining more experience and soon taking the position of choreographic director for big shows, international tours and important events.
