Exclusive Interview with Kettia Fenestor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kettia Fenestor.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Hello!!

Lots of hard work and meeting with the right people. I started my career in the salon and after meeting some of the most amazing people, I can truly say I am blessed to have been able to service their hair and beauty needs. Over the years, I learned that being flexible and open to change and learning something new everyday was a help but, having the right attitude and staying positive and focused on my goals was tough with all of the many distractions that happen in life. Surely, keeping the right people around motivates you to keep pushing forward.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I have been very fortunate in my journey. Networking and keeping an open mind was tough for me. I started my family at a young age and have always struggled with work life balance. As we speak today, life as a mom is a full time gig. No matter how you look at it. Even if you have “a village” children will always want their mom’s love. I am great full today that my children understand why I took the path I chose at the time, so that I could financially provide my portion for their well being. I used to wonder what it would be like if I was home with them most of the time but I stopped thinking about it. We are happy and they are well rounded humans and I am greatly appreciated.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I specialized in all types of hair and especially keeping it healthy. I have over 13years of experience in the beauty industry. I have been fortunate to work with beauty product and brands, fashion, editorial, and film. Other than my dedication, knowledge, and drive, I am not interested in drama. It takes up too much time and energy which is a waste of money.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My piece of advice for readers are that you hold all of the talent needed to be successful in your life. Your are born with it. You may have to develop it somehow but the blueprint is there. Surround yourself with people that are passionate, positive and persistent about something because those are the people that are on their way to being successful and you can learn tons from them. Be kind and always be willing to listen and learn.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

The word success means to me, beating able to maintain a consistent level of happiness in all aspects of life. Whether it be the work you do, family, relationships, or your own physical and mental state, there are always areas that need improvement so little by little we work on these things and areas of our lives to find that happiness. Sometimes it may just be that we just need to change one thing. For some of us these adjustments are quicker than others. But being able to maintain happiness is success.

What’s next for you?

First, I want to say thank you to everyone for their support throughout my career. I have transitioned from the salon to part time, teaching cosmetology, working in film and now developing a hair care line. Im super excited because this hair regimen will help you to transform your hair to become healthier and happier. I guess you can call that hair success. The ingredients are natural without all of the chemicals and the scents are clean and fresh. I introduce to you, Ettekette Hair Care. We are at the end of finalizing the details and will launch Ettekette Hair Care early 2023.
