Scarlett Linares recognized as a Creole music singer in the United States

Venezuelan singer Scarlett Linares has been awarded the prestigious Tacarigua de Oro International USA 2023 award in the category of “Creole Singer of the Year” in the city of Miami, United States. This award highlights the influence and impact that Scarlett has had on traditional Venezuelan music and its international projection.

The event took place in the city of Miami on December 15 at Mom Petit Gardeno. The animation was in charge of the E! Entertainment TV presenter Catherina Valentino, under the direction of Sandra Quintero and Daniel Gomez.

In addition to Scarlett Linares, the director of the Miami Symphony Eduardo Marturet, Athina Klioumi, the journalist Gladys Rodríguez, the comedian Georges Harris, among others, were also recognized.
Scarlett Linares’ success has been a constant in her career, with iconic songs such as “Corazón no Sufras Más”, “Tus Pantalones”, “Ese Muchacho”, “La Melosa”, “Mi Propio Respeto”, “Ojalá que no puedes”, “Llorando y Tomando”, “Amo”, “Pobre de ella”, “El Mejor Amante” and “En Carne Viva”, which have resonated on the charts and have made her one of the most influential llanera music singers in her country. In fact, Scarlett holds the record for being the artist with the most number one spots on Venezuelan radio charts.
Scarlett Linares continues to establish herself as an artist of global stature, always keeping the essence of Venezuelan llanera music at the heart of her art. This 2023 USA International Tacarigua de Oro Award is a well-deserved recognition of her dedication and her contribution to Venezuelan cultural heritage.
