Led by Gridiron MVP Miriah Lopez and Defensive MVP Emma Rayes, Team Marvino turned the “We Do Both” campaign into a championship reality.
One of the most memorable moments of Miami Swim Week 2026 didn’t happen on a runway—it happened on a football field.
Powered by Naava Models during Naava Swim Week, the inaugural Model Flag Football Tournament brought together models, creators, designers, and brands for a first-of-its-kind competition that celebrated athleticism, teamwork, and community.
The tournament was built around this year’s campaign theme, “We Do Both.” The message challenged the idea that models belong in only one lane. One moment, they could be walking a runway dressed to perfection. Next, they could be pulling flags, making plays, and scoring touchdowns.
Among the teams competing was Team Marvino, led by designer and creative director Vino. While many teams were built around familiar faces from the modeling world, Vino took a strategic approach when assembling his roster. Recognizing the importance of experience, he recruited accomplished flag football athletes Miriah Lopez and Emma Rayes—two women whose athletic accomplishments matched the presence they brought to the Swim Week stage.
Their leadership quickly became a difference-maker. Alongside a talented roster of models, Lopez and Rayes helped bring confidence, structure, and football IQ to Team Marvino, guiding the group throughout the tournament and ultimately leading them to the inaugural championship.
The impact of both athletes was undeniable. Emma Rayes earned Defensive MVP honors for her standout play throughout the tournament, while Miriah Lopez was named Gridiron MVP, recognizing her as one of the event’s most valuable players. Their leadership helped transform a team of models into champions.
Surfside Seltzers, Euroky Vitality Drink, La Sin Rostro Tequila, and NutraLife served as supporting partners of the inaugural tournament.
For Vino, however, the championship represented something much bigger than football. “People see the runway, the photos, and the finished product. What they don’t always see is the bond that’s built behind the scenes. A week ago, some of these girls had never met. By the end of the tournament, they were celebrating a championship together. That’s what made this special.”
While Lopez and Rayes earned individual honors, the championship belonged to the entire roster. Every player embraced the spirit of the “We Do Both” campaign, proving that the same women commanding attention on the runway could compete, communicate, and win together on the football field.
