In a digital age marked by constant disruption and evolving threats, few figures embody the spirit of innovation and resilience quite like Ryan Sahadeo. The founder of multiple ventures—Securoptix, Altivus.AI, A1 Designs, and Codepreneur Academy—Ryan has emerged as a force in both cybersecurity and AI implementation.
From Bronx Receptionist to Cybersecurity Leader
Ryan’s journey began with curiosity—tearing apart computers as a kid in the Bronx. Though he initially pursued pharmacy, he pivoted to health sciences with a minor in computer science. That pivot led to a role at Montefiore Medical Center where, as a receptionist, he gained rare access to executive thinking.
A surge in cyberattacks during that time sparked his transition to cybersecurity, culminating in a leadership role at Newport Credentialing Solutions (now Symplr). His big insight? Security needed to be a business strategy, not a compliance checkbox.
That realization led to the founding of Securoptix, where Ryan helps companies proactively defend digital assets and align security with business goals.
Turning Problems Into Platforms
Ryan’s ventures stem from personal gaps he encountered:
-
Altivus.AI helps organizations move beyond AI hype and build custom agentic workflows that deliver.
-
Codepreneur Academy is a bootcamp for ambitious professionals ready to pivot into tech.
-
A1 Digital bridges the gap between powerful SaaS tools and clunky user experience.
“What people call visionary is just pattern recognition. I build solutions to problems I’ve lived,” he says.
These ventures are intentionally interconnected. Codepreneur trains talent that Securoptix and Altivus deploy, and A1 ensures the tech is seamless.
Shark Tank, Setbacks & Strategic Growth
Ryan once auditioned for Shark Tank Season 3 via LIU Brooklyn’s Business School. Though he didn’t make it, that moment opened the door to pro bono cybersecurity consulting—helping founders understand the strategic value of security.
“Those early calls were my real-world MBA.”
This ability to translate tech into executive language became the cornerstone of his consulting model.
Reframing Imposter Syndrome
Self-taught and under-credentialed early on, Ryan leaned into his insecurities and reframed imposter syndrome as drive.
“Instead of asking, ‘Am I qualified?’ I focused on, ‘Can I solve this better than anyone else?’”
He eventually earned a Master’s in Cybersecurity Management and is now pursuing a PhD in Cybersecurity Leadership at Capitol Technology University.
Burnout-Proofing with Systems
Managing multiple companies is no joke. Ryan relies on:
-
Pomodoro Technique for deep work
-
Automation tools like Asana, n8n, BlitzIt
-
Strict off-time boundaries
“Burnout doesn’t come from hard work. It comes from endless work without recovery.”
The Future: Accessible, Secure Tech for All
Ryan’s mission is simple but ambitious: Democratize access to tech and security knowledge. From upcoming TED Talks to new compliance tools at Altivus and certification programs at Codepreneur, he’s building a future where anyone can build boldly and defend wisely.
