Massage Therapist Lucretia Vinson Is Giving Hope To Plastic Surgery Community
Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucretia Vinson.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Lucretia Vinson and I have been a massage therapist for 18 years and I opened a Post-Op and Body Contouring studio in Marietta, GA to address the lack of information given to a person who is healing from Plastic Surgery. 8 out of 10 women get some type of plastic surgery because of how they are perceived socially and in the workplace. Once a man/woman gets a procedure like liposuction, Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck or breast augmentation there is a post op process to go through that gives a client a great chance of healing unbotched with very little complications. There is a great lack of knowledge of this process so I opened up Beauty By Lucretia to service these clients. I also teach other massage therapists, nurses and medical professionals this 2 1/2 -3 month process to assist a doll or Ken doll (what the surgery world calls a female or male person who has gotten plastic surgery) in their process of healing.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Getting these woman/men to understand that manual Lymphatic drainage massage is critical to their healing has been the most challenging as a good majority of plastic surgeons do not suggest they get them and frankly it really causes them to heal swollen or botched. Not only are the Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage important so is the proper compression and the proper training of the person providing the manual lymphatic drainage massage.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I provide results driven post operative care for clients who have chosen to take the plastic surgery journey. These clients choose to work with me because I get them back to life in their new frame in 2 1/2-3 months. The majority of my client base is 35-50 years of age and have a need to get back to life quickly. I use a process that is one week incisional drainage, 6 weeks of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and then I move the client into body contouring that smooths out their results so that it looks like they have had no surgery.
