From Nursing to Tech: The Journey of Daniel Adegahi

Daniel Adegahi, known online as mrdanikings, has an inspiring story that spans from the medical field to the tech world. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Benue State University, Daniel’s journey took a surprising turn when he discovered a passion for technology and content creation.

“I loved sharing knowledge, so I became a tech creator. I love helping people, so I became a nurse,” Daniel explains. Currently studying nursing in his 500 level, his dual passion for teaching and assisting others is at the heart of his success.

Daniel’s venture into tech began in 2018 when he started sharing his thoughts about his iPhone on social media. He talked about what he loved, what he disliked, the issues he faced, and how he solved them. His honest and straightforward approach quickly resonated with people. “I didn’t expect it to take off the way it did,” Daniel recalls. “By 2020, I had gained significant recognition on TikTok. People started reaching out to me with their tech problems, and I was happy to help.”

Years ago, Daniel went viral in a controversial video where he was seen urging people to opt for an Android phone for N100,000 instead of an Iphone for the same amount. As someone who is familiar with tech, he was able to back his claims with points. He stated that an Android phone has so many features compared to an Iphone especially at the same price range.

According to him, it’s much safer to get a durable Android phone that to join the trend of Iphone users with that amount of money.

As his audience grew, so did the demand for his expertise. Daniel decided to take a bold step and establish a studio in Makurdi. He employed friends and coursemates, expanding his brand’s offerings and teaching others what he had learned. Today, MrDanikings Tech conducts both online and offline classes, educating national and international students in photography, videography, technology, and content creation.

“Starting the studio was a big step,” Daniel says. “But it was worth it. Seeing my team and our students grow is incredibly rewarding.”

Daniel is currently focused on raising up creators like himself to have a voice in the tech world. He also partners with reputable brands to advertise the best products. His goals are clear: expand his reach and influence, enhance educational offerings, and collaborate with leading tech brands. “I want to grow our audience across all social media platforms and provide valuable learning experiences for students worldwide,” he says.

Despite the challenges, such as limited technological infrastructure in Nigeria and fluctuating internet speeds, Daniel remains undeterred. His motto, “Empower through knowledge, inspire through innovation,” drives his work and motivates him to keep pushing boundaries.

From nursing to tech, he has shown that with dedication and a love for helping others, it’s possible to make a significant impact in any field. “I’m excited about the future,” Daniel concludes. “There’s so much more to achieve and so many more people to help.”
