Find Greatness Become Untouchable
Today we’d like to introduce you to Star UTG.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I started as a rap artist at the age of 13, using it as “something to do” over the summer with friends until other people wanted us to take it serious. Now, over 10 years later, I have a few albums published and I performed in various cities across the US, I have won song of the year in 2017 at a local awards ceremony and concert series and also working on my own clothing brand company.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Challenges? I had to overcome the fear of what people would think about me or my music. It took time to realize some people only do it so they won’t see you make it, whether they like you or not. Also having to stay consistent and relative to keep putting out content that keeps the audience involved and wanting more.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I believe I specialize in storytelling and have meaning behind my songs. Although, some of my songs are for fun, I like to try to stand out and keep people interested. You have to have versatility and I have a unique voice that can be noticed.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
The best piece of advice I have is to take risks and never give up. Don’t be shy and branch out on your ideas to make you different. Some people won’t like it but some will. You can’t please everyone.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
The word success means to me is being about to provide fire your family without living paycheck to paycheck without making sacrifices. You don’t have to be the richest person but as long as you can eat and your kids not starving and have clothes on their backs living comfortably, then you are successful in my eyes.
What’s next for you?
What’s next for me is to get more people aware of my music and clothing brand and getting to know me personally. I have great music out now and I want to be able to share them with the world and get a chance to listen to something other than what you are accustomed to.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
People can connect with me on social media. You can search all platforms and even on Google, Star UTG and I pop of on almost everything. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Apple Music and more.
