Exclusive Interview with Caleb Harris
Today we’d like to introduce you to Caleb Harris.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
What’s going on? My name is Caleb Harris and I’m an author, coach, and speaker from Connecticut. After graduating from the University of New Haven in 2018, I have decided to turn my focus on discussing addiction since I realized many men are looking for hope and guidance.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Recently, I came at a crossroads in my life where I had to make a choice between choosing education or my career as a writer/speaker. I have been trying to both but it has not being workimg out well.
I really enjoyed working with students but this is where God wants me to be. He wants me to speak life into people.
Even though my mom has passed, I’m leaving my job, and I’ve lost a lot of friends and family when I became sober in 2019, it is worth it.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I specialize in online coaching for men who battle with addiction. Why I’m different than others is because I remind men that I was in the same boat. I’m not here to make anyone feel small or less than. Addiction is not easy, it’s a disease. So many men have had to fight this battle alone and I remind them we are not alone.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
You have to visualize yourself being successful. That’s how it all starts. If you keep visualizing yourself as a failure than that is what you’ll be. Even if life is giving you a hard time you must envision yourself successful. That’s how I keep fighting.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success means being able to live without fear. Fear of being mediocre, paying bills, others opinions. One can make a lot of money but if they are still afraid and hold resentment, are they truly successful?
I remind myself each day of Matthew 16:26 which reads, What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
What’s next for you?
My book “Out of the darkness” will be coming out in January 2023. The book will discuss my past battle with addiction and howw God took me out of the darkness and brought me to the light.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
