Personal growth can produce powerful moments. A workshop shifts perspective. A speaker says something that lands at exactly the right time. A retreat creates clarity that seemed impossible to find at home.
Then Monday arrives.
For Anette Michelle, that return to ordinary life became the question worth exploring. After more than a decade immersed in personal development, she began paying closer attention to the space between experiencing a breakthrough and actually living differently because of it.
That insight became the foundation for Inner Applause, her new personal growth and experiential wellness brand.
“I’ve spent years in rooms that left me inspired, but I realized the real work begins when the room gets quiet and life starts again,” Anette says. “I created Inner Applause to bring people together to connect, reflect, and turn inspiration into something we actually live.”
The Space Between the High and the Habit
Anette describes that gap as “The Space Between the High & the Habit.” It is the period after a meaningful realization, when enthusiasm meets routines, responsibilities and familiar reactions.
Inner Applause is designed around integration rather than continually searching for the next breakthrough. Through speaking, studio experiences, small group workshops and live events, Anette is creating environments where women can reflect on what they are learning and begin practicing it in everyday life.
Storytelling has become an equally important part of that work. Anette believes a personal story can create a moment of recognition. Hearing another woman speak honestly about what she has lived through can help someone recognize part of her own experience and begin to see change as possible.
That philosophy also informs Mirror Practice, Anette’s guided reflective practice designed to help people slow down, notice what is happening internally, regulate, reconnect with themselves and create space to choose how they respond.
A Story That Changed Her Life
Some of Anette’s perspective comes from experiences that required far more than inspiration to move through.
In 2015, Anette was 23 weeks pregnant and 2,500 miles from home when she delivered her son, Liam, weighing just 1 pound, 5.9 ounces. Liam spent 130 days in the NICU before finally going home.
Today, he is a happy, healthy 10 year old who, as Anette puts it, gives his 16 year old sister, Mila, a run for her money. The experience changed Anette and deepened her connection to families navigating the uncertainty of the NICU.
That history makes the charitable partnership for her first major Inner Applause event especially personal.
Bringing Inner Applause to San Diego
On October 11, 2026, the first Inner Applause Experience will take place in San Diego. The one day personal growth and wellness gathering will combine speakers, storytelling, movement, wellness experiences, Mirror Practice, reflection and meaningful connection.
Miracle Babies, a San Diego nonprofit supporting NICU families, will serve as the charitable partner. For Anette, giving back to NICU families is rooted in firsthand experience rather than an abstract cause. Her previous involvement in the NICU community also includes receiving Ohana of the Year from Caring for Hawaii Neonates.
The San Diego event marks the beginning of a larger vision for Inner Applause, with future speaking engagements, studio workshops, smaller group experiences and live gatherings.
The premise remains straightforward. Inspiration can begin something meaningful. What happens afterward determines whether that moment becomes part of how a person actually lives.
