Exclusive Interview with Sensei Densetsu
Today we’d like to introduce you to Sensei Densetsu.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Sensei Densetsu, and I was born in Brooklyn new york. I am half african american and half Japanese. I was raised by a strong woman that made sure that I had every opportunity to be great. Hip hop and classical music was the sound track to my life. I was trained in the ways of the blade, it was a family tradition since I come from a blood line of samurai warriors. This taught me honour, dedication and patience. Growing up around hustlers and street pharmacists opened my eyes to a different life. I always had a business mindset and was always told I was a natural leader but being half black and Japanese didn’t make my life easy growing up. In Japan I was an outsider ( Gaijin ) but in brooklyn my differences were embraced in ways. Music started to become a bigger and bigger part of my life hanging in the streets. Banging on cars hearing the sounds of cars inspired me and the parties showed me how people reacted to the sonics. In school I loved economics and loved to make money so that just went hand in hand. learning about wall street and stocks pushed me to a new hustle and helped me friend a man that taught me ninjutsu. Once family found out that was big no no. My family saw ninjas as sneaky but I saw it as a way to move carefully and strike at the right moment.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Being different worked for me sometimes but in some cases it was hard and difficult. Things came easy for me and jealousy was a big factor. I spent a lot of time trying to show people a different way from the street life and was hated for my mindset and knowledge at times. I watched a lot of my associates and warriors die by them not listening to me but I had to learn I can’t save everyone. I had to learn to be selfish with my success and knowledge and be great. I chose the university and my friends chose a penitentiary. Going to school for audio engineering and business my knowledge grew and now I want to spread my experiences and lessons I learned in my music. I have created a Musical composition called “Woo Jutsu” talking about legal ways to get money. The song is out now on all streaming services in honor of the late great ” Pop Smoke “. In Brooklyn there is a lot of ways to make money I just wanted to shed light on ways that are out there and just waiting for the youth to get to it and get that bag.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I create music and I am in the process of developing my own anime. I specialize in Melody creation and musical sonics.
