For E. Nathan Harris, building a law firm in Alabama meant paying attention to a gap that was easy to see but harder to address: Hispanic and immigrant families navigating the legal system while facing language, cultural, and immigration-related concerns.
Over the past 15 years, Harris has built Abogados Centro Legal, legally Harris & Associates Law, LLC, around that reality. Based in Hoover, Alabama, the bilingual personal injury and immigration law firm has recovered more than $50 million for clients since 2010.
Now, Harris’s work is earning recognition both nationally and within Alabama’s legal community.
Recognition Built Over Time
In November 2025, Harris was re-selected to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorneys. The recognition follows a series of professional honors, including Super Lawyers recognition for 2025 and 2026, Rising Stars recognition from 2019 through 2024, The National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40 in 2017, and Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2024.
For Harris, however, the recognition is closely tied to the people his firm represents.
“It’s an honor to be recognized once again among the nation’s leading trial lawyers,” Harris said. “This acknowledgment reflects our team’s commitment to standing up for those who might otherwise be overlooked, especially immigrant families who face cultural and systemic barriers in accessing justice.”
That focus has shaped the firm since its early years. Harris founded the practice in 2010 and rebuilt and renamed it in 2015, developing Abogados Centro Legal as a bilingual firm serving Alabama’s Hispanic and immigrant communities.
A Broader Role in Alabama Law
Harris’s career is also moving deeper into professional leadership. After serving on the board of directors of the Alabama Association for Justice from 2020 through 2025, he was elected treasurer in 2025 and then elected Secretary for the organization’s 2026 to 2027 term. His current leadership path puts him on track to serve as ALAJ President in 2030.
The progression reflects a career that has steadily expanded in reach. Harris was admitted to practice law in Alabama in 2010, Tennessee in 2017, and Georgia in 2024.
Yet the foundation remains local. His firm’s work centers on clients who may enter the legal system with questions that extend beyond the immediate details of an injury or immigration matter. Language can affect how someone understands a case. Cultural familiarity can shape whether a client feels comfortable asking difficult questions. Immigration concerns may influence decisions that appear straightforward from the outside.

Building a Practice Around Access
There is a personal side to the work as well. Harris is married to Kacey Harris, and together they have three children whom they homeschool. That family life exists alongside a legal career now entering a more visible chapter.
Fifteen years after opening his practice, Harris has accumulated national recognition, leadership responsibilities, and more than $50 million in client recoveries. Still, the idea behind the firm remains relatively simple: people should be able to understand the legal process they are entering and have an advocate prepared to understand them in return.
