When life’s darkest moments arrived, Kristine Chilton chose not to surrender—she chose to shine. The Life Transition Coach and founder of I Will Find Joy has built a powerful personal brand rooted in resilience, vulnerability, and the relentless pursuit of meaning. Her story, like her mission, began not with a business plan but with a need for connection.
A Mission Born From Struggle
Kristine’s journey started in 2007, at a time when chronic illness and pain had left her feeling deeply disconnected from the world.
“I know the isolation that comes with debilitating chronic illness,” she says. “I was fortunate to find support through online communities that understood what I was going through.”
In that same spirit, she created a Facebook page to provide a lifeline for others navigating similar struggles. Over the years, as life brought more trials—divorce, grief, loss, and reinvention—her online presence evolved into something bigger: a platform for healing, hope, and rediscovery.
“I want to share my experiences creating a new life to shine light in dark places for anyone who has experienced these life-changing moments,” she explains. “I want to encourage women to find their way out and thrive.”
Overcoming the Growing Pains of Growth
Building a brand around authenticity isn’t easy—especially when you’re learning as you go. For Chilton, the early stages were marked by technological hurdles, uncertainty, and self-doubt.
“Every step forward brought more challenges and questions,” she admits. “It’s been a painfully slow process.”
What kept her going was a combination of humility and tenacity. “I looked for mentors and hired coaches to help navigate the process,” she says. “Each time I took action, I received positive feedback that kept me going.”
Her turning point came when she fully embraced mentorship and community, joining the Speakerpreneur program and working with business coach Akbar Sheikh.
“Signing up was an incredible leap of faith in myself and my message,” Chilton says. “I’m all in. I can’t live a big life playing small and hiding behind indecision.”
Wisdom for Aspiring Entrepreneurs
When asked what she’d tell others starting their entrepreneurial journey, Chilton’s advice is refreshingly simple—and deeply human.
“Learn to clap for yourself and celebrate your wins, even if no one sees them,” she says. “If your ‘why’ is strong enough, you can do great things even when it’s hard. Ask for help when you need it.”
It’s a mindset that blends grit with grace—a reminder that success is as much about persistence as it is about purpose.
The Ongoing Journey Toward Balance
When it comes to balance, Chilton is candid: “I’ll let you know when I figure it out!” she laughs.
Like many entrepreneurs, she’s still learning how to navigate the intersection of ambition and well-being. But even in the uncertainty, her message remains unwavering—growth is a process, not a finish line.
